I was able to install Vista cleanly and most everything works fine. However after installing the Vista beta 2 drivers for my nVidia 6800GT I am unable to install the monitor driver for my Dell 2005fpw monitor. It starts doing the monitor install as usual and at the end I get an error that says:
"The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request."
Windows still runs fine but I find some games won't allow me to select widescreen resolutions using the default pnp monitor driver.
Any help would be appreciated.
Geoff

Problems installing monitor driver
Can you just switch to the Generic PnP Monitor and see if that helps?

Hi
Are you can get new Montior Dell E196FP
Can you just switch to the Generic PnP Monitor and see if that helps?
Well that is what I do use because the 2005fpw driver won't install properly. And like I said, it runs windows just fine but games that rely on the proper driver to be installed won't give me widescreen options. Just was hoping to get that working.
